Biography

I specialize in Urban Geography, with a focus on leveraging GIS applications, remote sensing, and visualizations. My interest lies in integrating computer technologies into geographic research, encompassing data modeling, data mining, spatial simulation, and Internet map publishing.

The reliance on computers in decision-making processes is growing across various sectors, be it government-level planning, business market analysis, or individual travel plans. The rapid adoption of remote sensing and GIS technologies by the public has transformed the landscape. Two decades ago, the current scenario of drivers following GPS instructions and bus riders tracking the location and arrival time of buses was unimaginable.

The information flow, from sophisticated hardware to the general public, is now smoother and faster than ever. This seamless dissemination extends to spatial information, marking a significant departure from the past.
